The wine route
The Alsace Wine Route is an exceptional itinerary, known throughout the world for the beauty of its landscapes. It winds its way for over 170 kilometres (105 miles) from north to south at the foot of the Vosges mountains through hills, vineyards, and picturesque Alsatian villages.
This enchanting route winds and bends between the soft hills of the vineyards, narrow streets in flower-filled villages, and traditional houses gathered around churches. Visitors can explore the vineyards by following signposted wine trails, and discover breathtaking views of the hillsides and the diversity of grape varieties.
Throughout your journey, you will be welcomed into winstubs and cellars, where wine is celebrated with every sip. Pass through some sixty wine-growing towns and discover around fifteen prestigious terroirs, including the famous A.O.C. Alsace Grand Cru. A must for who appreciates good wine and beautiful landscapes!
