Gastronomy and crafts Christmas market in Obernai

Starting in late November and throughout the month of December, come discover the Christmas market with its intimate and warm atmosphere. Strolling through the city streets is a delight: lights and natural fir tree decorations beautifully highlight the Renaissance architecture of the downtown area. In their wooden chalets on the town’s central squares, the artisans and producers at the Christmas Market invite you—amid the scents of gingerbread and mulled wine—to stock up on gourmet local products and handcrafted gifts. A local specialty not to be missed is a tasting of Obernai white mulled wine, both for its unique flavor and for the festive atmosphere surrounding the cauldron of the Winemakers’ Guild! The Alsatian Christmas Food Market showcases all the local culinary specialties of an Alsatian Christmas. Sunday–Monday–Tuesday–Wednesday–Thursday 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Friday–Saturday 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Closed on December 25. Closes at 4:00 p.m. on December 24 and 31.
