Obernai has hosted a weekly market on Thursday mornings since the 14th century, and it’s making a comeback in the city center! It has returned to its historic location with the diverse selection of goods for which it is renowned: food items, seasonal fruits and vegetables, artisanal cured meats, cheeses, and bread, as well as clothing, shoes, and accessories. New hours: to accommodate today’s lifestyles, the market will now be open to the public from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. This extended schedule will allow people working in Obernai—in industrial zones, for example—and the surrounding areas to do their shopping during their lunch break.
