Labelled a Cultural Olympiad, the Sport Collection offers a unique perspective on the history of sport through 250 works from 20 partner institutions, in collaboration with the National Sports Museum. It traces the evolution of sporting disciplines, from their ancient origins to their contemporary expressions. Iconic objects, historic outfits, legendary figures such as Michael Jordan, Suzanne Lenglen and Usain Bolt, mythical moments and collective symbols make up a selection that goes beyond mere performance. Sport is presented as a vehicle for emancipation, shared values and emotions, particularly through the history of women's place in competitions. Projected in the heart of the digital gallery on the second floor of the château, this collection allows visitors to explore this encounter between art, body and movement.
