Created in Obernai in 1980, the Alsace experimental orchard, "Verexal", aims to create references for fruit producers as part of a sustainable integrated or organic production strategy with the objective of economic profitability and preservation of the countryside and natural resources. The production covers Alsace damsons, table and juice apples, table and distillation pears, table and Kirsch cherries, small fruit (raspberries, redcurrants, blueberries...) How does it all work? ... Follow the manager through the 7-hectare orchard created in deep loess soils at the edge of the vineyards to experiment solutions to fruit production problems. Taste seasonal produce. Visit conditions: from Monday to Friday (Sundays possible with one month's notice) from June to the end of October. The price includes the guided tour and shoe covers.
